Rehabilitation Exercise for over 50’s in your own home
My name is Jane Ardley and my latest qualification, through the British School of Yoga, is titled Clinical Personal Fitness Trainer. Other training companies may call this GP Referral.
This deals with various physical and mental health issues, conditions and disabilities. Everyone can benefit from the positive feelings generated by exercise.
Although this is a recent qualification, I have been qualified as a Personal Trainer since 2001. The original training, through YMCA Fitness industry Training, included exercise for older adults. This included many illnesses and conditions which benefit from exercise. Since that time the medical profession has acknowledged that safe and effective exercise can help recovery and improve quality of life.
I have worked with clients who have Parkinson’s, Bipolar, Osteoporosis, Arthritis, TIA, Seasonal Affective Disorder and various types of cancer.
I have helped clients relieve stress through stretching and relaxation. Learning how to make time for yourself can be a hard, but extremely worthwhile skill.
I have also identified and corrected many postural problems or body imbalances, which could lead to future pain or injury.

One to one training starts with an initial consultation to learn about you, what you want to achieve and also what you enjoy. I will then create a programme for your own personal ability.
As I live in Borough Green the areas covered include Sevenoaks, West Malling & Tonbridge, along with all the surrounding villages. I work during the day, during the week.
It’s never too late, and you are never too old, to start an exercise programme.
3 years ago my health deteriorated, I became less mobile and life was becoming difficult. One day a flyer dropped through the letterbox from JA Fitness, I’d never heard of them but thought it may be the answer to my prayers.
I contacted Jane and I’ve never looked back, there’s no doubt I’d be worse off physically without her help. Jane is understanding, considerate, patient and makes it all fun instead of a chore.
I hated PE at school and tried the Leisure Centre group for Seniors in the past but, at 80 years old, to have Jane come to my home is “A-One”.
